All the clues were there, and the news is now confirmed. Leon Camier will be the third Honda rider to compete in the Suzuka 8 Hours alongside Takumi Takahashi and Takaaki Nakagami. As it communicated months ago, HRC will set out to get the better of Yamaha at the closing World Endurance round.

The team, riding latest-generation Fireblade bikes, will be known as “Red Bull Honda with Japan Post”. Note the absence of the HRC brand, something that eagle-eyes fans will be quick to spot. As well as the factory team, the Japanese manufacturer will support HARC-PRO with Ryo Mizuno, Swiss rider  Dominique Aegerter and American PJ Jacobsen, back in action at Suzuka after his 2016 adventure.

And let's not forget FCC TSR Honda, currently leading the championship with a 10-point advantage over GMT94. The team will adopt its traditional formation, with Freddy Foray, Josh Hook and Alan Techer. Other Honda teams competing at Suzuka include Moriwaki, Asian-Dream, Dream RT Sakurai, SuP Dream and au&Teluru・MotoUP RT.
