Never say never, an old saying that often proves correct. Max Biaggi knows this, having promised never to ride on track again after suffering a serious accident while doing some supermotard training. But the call of the asphalt, particularly that of the Mugello track, has proved too strong to resist and the Italian has decided to make an exception.
“I knew it, I've risen to the bait! Even if it's only for a demonstration lap, on Sunday 3 June, just before the start of the MotoGP, I'll be riding the electric bike! It will definitely be emotional to experience the twists and turns of Mugello once more, in front of the 100,000 fans who come to see the MotoGP race each year” he wrote on his Instagram page.
At the Tuscan track, Max will ride the Energica, the bike that will star in the MotoE championship as of next year. It might only be a demo lap, but it's a significant one for the Italian.
