What a day at Donington for Toprak Razgatlioglu. The Puccetti rider is undoubtedly one of the most stories of the weekend, having been able to power his ZX-10RR into second place, ahead of that of a certain Johnny Rea. It's the first time in history that a Turkish rider has reached the WorldSBK podium and we're sure he won't be forgetting this 27 May in a hurry.

I'm really happy with the result of course - comments Toprak – we made a small change to the electronics with respect to Saturday and then also went with a different tyre, these were the winning moves. I was able to have great confidence right from warm-up, confirming that performance in the race”.

His head to head with Rea had us all on the edge of our seats..

“I could see that Johnny was struggling through the left-hand corners, as his tyre was really worn on that side. But I didn't know whether to pass him or not, when I saw Lowes was getting closer, I decided to go on the attack”.

After his Stock win one year ago, Donington has once again showcased the Turk's talents.

“To tell the truth, I wasn't so competitive on Saturday, particularly in terms of lap time. But I have to say I didn't suffer with the tyre problems I've sometimes had in other situations so that helped. I really like this track, though I prefer more stop and go than long, fast corners”.
