Only a few weeks ago, Cal Crutchlow launched an appeal to see an increase in the anti-doping controls carried out in MotoGP, his colleagues in agreement with the proposal. The tests already exist in motorsport and seem to work, in some cases.

The FIM has released a statement confirming the provisional suspension of Broc Tickle, a rider taking part in the AMA Supercross who has tested positively for 5-methylhexan-2-amine, a substance that falls into the stimulant category.

A WADA-accredited laboratory in Cologne communicated the results to the Federation, having analysed a urine sample, provided by the athlete on 10 February after the San Diego race.

As it awaits the results of a second sampling, the FIM has decided to suspend Tickle.

This is not the first case of doping in Supercross: in 2015 James Stewart was disqualified for 16 months after having tested positive for amphetamine.
