Following the Argentina GP, Marc Marquez flew to Brazil, to Sao Paolo, for a promotional event. The Honda rider also met the press and, unsurprisingly, fielded many questions regarding what happened last Sunday..
Marc answered calmly but deliberately: “I won't change the way I race, I've always done so with maximum intensity and I'll continue to do so” he confirms.
This doesn't mean that Marquez is not accepting responsibility for what occurred with Rossi.
“I understand my mistake, I was penalised for it and the first thing I did afterwards was remove my helmet and go to Valentino to apologise. I made a mistake but anyone can make such a mistake because we're always riding at the limit. I always learn from my mistakes but it ends there, it happened with Valentino but it could have been with any other rider. I try to understand and analyse everything, but in the end Rossi is a rider like the others on track”.
The best way to put it all behind him is to focus on the next race, set to take place in a little over a week at Austin, one of Marc's domains.
“I'll always ride at the limit, I won't change my DNA. I have a good feeling about the next GP”, he comments.
