Valentino Rossi is unable to resist the call of the Prancing Horse. Ten days prior to the Argentinian Grand Prix, the Doctor has stopped off at Fiorano to test the Ferrari. Not a single-seater though, as we recall him testing in the past, but the new Ferrari 488 Pista.

The latest Maranello creation has been put to the test by the nine-time champ, who had chance to experience the 720 HP excitement of the new twin turbo V8, presented during the Geneva Show. Valentino took the opportunity to enjoy a veritable obstacle course of at-the-limit braking through fast turns and hairpins.

As we know, Rossi and the guys at Ferrari enjoy a good relationship; in 2012, the Italian took part in the  Monza round of the Blancpain, driving the Ferrari 458 Italia and concluding inside the top ten in his category.

The day closed with a brief filming (for advertising purposes?) in which Vale is smiling and waving and text read "what if we had never tried it". A play on the title of his book.

With his day on four-wheels behind him, the Yamaha rider is now ready to get back on his bike, set to depart for Argentina, and the second round of the championship, in the coming days.
