MotoGP, Dovizioso: Lorenzo will make my life difficult this year

In Italy, SkyTV is ready to baptise the new MotoGP season this evening with a special show entitled “Dovi Vai”. Andrea will answer questions posed by Sandro Donato Grosso as they look back at last year and discuss how he's feeling ahead of the imminent 2018 season-opener.

Of course, Dovizioso will also speak about his future, which is linked to his contract renewal with Ducati.

“We haven't started talking yet, I'm interested to see how it will go because we've had five years together, with highs and lows. Now we are in a particularly positive situation, both parties. I'm not really interested in how Jorge will go about his negotiations and I don't think our situations are really connected to each other”. 
Andrea also talks about rider levels after what we have seen during winter testing, sessions in which he himself has stood out.

“Marquez is the favourite, because there's no reason he shouldn't be. I'd give myself one point less than Marquez, because he was able to beat me last year, over the 18 races he was able to do something more and so we need another step. Then I put Rossi and Vinales on the same level as me, Vale has the experience to get out of a less than simple situation. Petrucci is very strong, whether or not he'll stay in Ducati's orbit depends entirely on him, he needs to achieve better results than last year in order to have a chance to enter a factory team, but he'll also need to see what the other Ducati riders decide to do. i expect Lorenzo to win races this year and make my life difficult, but I'm ready”.
