Moto2: Moto3: Last call in Jerez ahead of the championship season

This is the last chance to hone the weapons before the championship season starts. Moto2 and Moto3 are in Jerez for the final event of this pre-season and then it will finally be race time. Expectations are therefore high for the three days that began this morning at 10 AM, although the weather is keeping everyone in check since rain is in the forecast for both today and Thursday. In the smallest engine category, everyone is keen to see the competition between Jorge Martin, Aron Canet and Enea Bastianini.

The Italian rider, who is called on this year to hold the Leopard colours high, is ready to get in the middle of a bit of hand-to-hand combat between the two compatriots, intent on collecting the inheritance from another Spaniard, namely Joan Mir.

It is a short step from the smallest engine class to the intermediate, because in Jerez we’ll be watching the competition between Alex Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia. They are the title favourites, without overlooking Miguel Oliveira, improving greatly over the second part of the season last year, as well as Mattia Pasini.

Remember that Joan Mir will not be participating in the three days of testing at Jerez. A crash on his motocross bike cost him a sprain to his right arm, so the Marc VDS was forced to wave the white flag. We won’t see him until Losail for the first round of the season.
