MotoGP: OFFICIAL: Tech3 with KTM from 2019

From 2019, Tech3 will be racing with KTM. The Austrian manufacturer made the announcement in a press release. It was a brief note that actually does not reveal all the details of the agreement.

In any case, Poncharal, manager of the French team, had already done so, pointing out how it is a three-year agreement (so through 2021) and that treatment will be identical to that of the factory team.

Pit Beirer, KTM Motorsport Director, stated: “We are very happy to join forces with Tech3 in MotoGP from 2019. The team has many years of experience and achieved a lot of great results in this championship. Their professional structure will make us even stronger. Having four KTM RC16 machines on the grid is also another big step for us, both for the development of our MotoGP bike and expanding KTM’s structure in the paddock. From the Red Bull Rookies Cup up to MotoGP there is a clear path to the top. We are looking forward to start a great cooperation and I’m thankful towards Hervé Poncharal for the future trust in KTM.

It is only logical that now KTM is aiming to acquire, along with Tech3, Johann Zarco, one of the most sought-after riders in the paddock.
