Jorge Lorenzo seems to be particularly comfortable astride the Ducati 2018 and the time sheets show it. His time of 1'58"830 is the absolute best time on a MotoGP bike in Sepang.
Before breaking the record, however, the Majorcan fell victim to a harmless crash on the last corner at 11:13 AM local time. Jorge was doing the best time, but he slid out on the last corner. He got back up quickly and took his Desmosedici to the garage.
After a few minutes to regain focus, the Spanish hammer went back out to successfully accomplish his mission.
