SBK: The format changes: four free practice sessions in 2018

In about a month, the championship will kick off in Australia, so there is no lack of news in view of the first round of this 2018 season. In fact, Dorna has decided to change the format for the upcoming season, introducing a fourth free practice round before the race.

Up through last year, there were two sessions on Friday and one on Saturday. From Philip Island, on the other hand, the riders will do three sessions on Friday, lasting 40 minutes each, which will determine who goes straight through to Superpole 2. On Saturday, however, there will be another session to allow the riders to build confidence in view of the Race 1 qualifiers. The scheduled times have still not been decided.
