MotoGP: And they're off! Stoner already astride the GP18 at Sepang

As we wait for the championship riders, in Sepang the engines have already roared to life thanks to the testers from the various manufacturers who will have the chance to turn laps from today through Friday. There is excitement in the Ducati camp because of the first outing of the new GP18 which was christened today by Casey Stoner.

The two-time world champion was back in the saddle after the last time (September 2017) to test the new creature from Borgo Panigale, trying to provide the team with as much information as possible in anticipation of the arrival of Jorge Lorenzo and Andrea Dovizioso. This is all taking place on a track where number 27 proved to be fast last year (Sepang), putting times on the sheets that were in line (or faster) than many active championship riders.

So the wait is over for fans and now we are just waiting for the first time results. Demonstration of all this was provided by Ducati themselves with a video published on their social network pages showing the champ ready to hit the track.
