MotoGP: Marquez & Pedrosa reveal the secrets of Phillip Island

Fast track: The second highest average speed on the World Championship calendar (182 km/h) behind only the Red Bull Ring (Austria).

Very abrasive asphalt: This causes heavy tire wear.

High speed corners: Very demanding on the left side of the tires.

Asymmetric tires: The left side is sti er, in order to withstand degradation.

Riding a ected by the wind: The bikes become much heavier when changing direction.

Turn 11 and 12: One of the critical points of the circuit.The last two corners before entering
the  fnish line. Two very fast,  owing left-handers. They are taken under acceleration, with the bike leaned over. They require high speed to take
advantage of the straight, on which there is usually a headwind.
