The unveiling has finally taken place. At the Movistar HQ in Madrid, Yamaha has revealed the new livery of its M1. The 2017 bike largely follows the colour scheme of previous seasons. The white of the fairing has gone though, replaced with an even more intense blue that dominates.

The bands on the front fairing get a new look, while the wheel rims are black. The M of main sponsor Movistar is now larger. The definitive version of the fairing will probably only be revealed at the opening round of Qatar.

Shortly after unveiling the bike, Vinales and Rossi received a nice video message from their team members. Vinales is sure: "I have a bike that will allow me to try and win the title, I don't think chances like this come along very often". Rossi does not disagree: "Last year, he scored a lot of points, I think he can aim for the title in 2017".
