Despite the fact it's the middle of winter and Christmas is just around the corner, there are those who are still working in preparation for the next MotoGP season. Like Honda for instance, that arranged a three-day test with its two Japanese test riders Hiroshi Aoyama and Takumi Takahashi.

The pair collected essential information that will help with the development of the 2018 bike. The weather was on the HRC riders' side, with cold temperatures in the morning but sun in the afternoon, which allowed both men to complete many laps at the Spanish track.

Now it's time for a vacation, though the Japanese engineers will continue to work to prepare the new RC213V bikes that factory riders Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa will ride at Sepang, in Malaysia, from 28 to 30 January during the first official tests of 2018.
