Vinales' first visit to Kyalami

Even in winter, riders are always keen to get out on track. While temperatures in Europe aren't ideal for riding right now, things are better in South Africa, as Maverick Vinales found out while taking part in the Yamaha R World Event.

The Spaniard had the opportunity to ride at the Kyalami track, recently modernised. Maverick was in good company in that he was joined by the national Superbike and Supersport Yamaha riders as well as a dozen lucky customers.

He didn't have his M1, but was able to complete a few laps on board an R1.

“It was a great event and I really enjoyed riding these bikes - commented Vinales - There were many fans. The track is fantastic, very old school, and I had fun with the R1”.
