MotoGP: Lorenzo considers Alex Debon to be his 'coach'

Having a coach track-side in MotoGP is more than just a passing trend it seems...

The most famous right now is undoubtedly Luca Cadalora, alongside Valentino Rossi, and this year also saw the arrival of Sete Gibernau with Dani Pedrosa. Jorge Lorenzo, who was supported in Yamaha by Wilco Zeelemberg (a win at the Nurburgring in 250 in 1990, 4th overall the following year), has been followed by Michele Pirro this season, but at the Jerez test he was helped by Alex Debon (two wins at Le Mans and Brno in 2008), he too a former Aprilia rider in 250.

Jorge and Alex, who have been friends for a long time, may decide to continue with the experiment. In the meantime, the Majorcan has begun winter training, so as to be ready for the Sepang at the end of January.
