Following Michelin’s cue in MotoGP, Dunlop has also signed an extension of their contract as sole tyre supplier for Moto2 and Moto3. The English manufacturer has been exclusive tyre supplier for the two classes since their inception (2010 for the intermediate category and 2012 for the cadet class) and will continue to be so through the end of 2020.

Dunlop has been in World Grand Prix Motorcycle Racing from its foundation and Les Graham won the first 500 title in history in 1949 using the British tyres.

“We are proud to continue our long and successful relationship with Dorna in Moto2 and Moto3 - said managing director Xavier Frainpont - We are constantly pushing forward and bringing new technologies to the sport. We introduced a brand-new specification of Moto2 tyre at Valencia for the final round of the 2017 season and this was chosen by the race winner, Miguel Oliveira. Top level motorcycle racing allows us to test and develop new constructions and compounds. We then apply the learnings to our factory products.
