Jorge Lorenzo cannot be fully satisfied with his two-day test at Valencia. While on the one hand the Spaniard knows what his Ducati is missing, on the other hand he is honest in admitting that the red bike is not growing as quickly as the Honda. He needs to wait for the new year before drawing any conclusions.

Today we re-tested yesterday's material, confirming various things  - starts #99 - it was important to continue with the work and try to make the bike more competitive. I know what we're missing and so I'm pleased about that. I don't think we'll see any important new parts before Sepang though”.

Lorenzo speaks frankly at the end of the two-day session.

Compared to others, we're running behind with the new bike. We still need to work on the frame, while Honda is already ahead, seeing as Marquez used the 2018 engine”.

The Majorcan also reveals that one detail is still missing, but he won't elaborate.

“It's a personal request of mine. The aim is to have a smoother engine, as the one we have now is still too aggressive. We definitely need to take a step forward when it comes to corner entry”.

He's nevertheless able to raise a smile at the end of the day.

“Today's was an important session, because I've understand where I need to focus to improve my riding. We'll start from there at the next test”.
