World Superbike is about to complete its final round of the season, but attention is already turning to next year. Dorna and FIM have released the 2018 calendar this morning.

The year will kick off, as is tradition, at Phillip Island, scheduled for the weekend of 23-25 February. This will be followed by the Thai round, in Buriram, in March, before the European rounds get underway with Aragon on 13 April. The first 'new feature' is the return of Brno, from 8 to 10 June, while the Italian events remain unchanged, with Imola, 11-13 May, and Misano, postponed to 6-8 July to leave room for Laguna Seca, which as we know will take place over the last weekend of June.

Argentina is a new-entry, at El Villicum from 12 to 14 October, though the track is still to be homologated. The final round will once again take place at night at Losail. The two-month summer break, from July to September, remains.
