MotoGP, Aleix Espargarò has had surgery, will race at Valencia

Aleix Espargarò was operated on yesterday at the Clinica Quirón-Dexeus in Barcelona after having fractured his left hand during the Phillip Island race. Doctor Sergi Barrera, a member of doctor Mir's team, successfully carried out the surgery.

Fractures of the 4th metacarpal and second phalanx on his little finger have been reduced with a plate and screws.

Aleix will be back on track for the last race of the year at Valencia.
