Moto2: Marini crashes at 215 km/h but is unhurt

Nothing more than a scare, luckily, for Luca Marini. In FP2 the team Forward rider was taking turn 8 at the Phillip Island track when a gust of wind caused him to lose control of his Kalex and crash out at 215 Km/h.

Luca has suffered various contusions, including a muscle contusion in the neck. As a precaution, the Clinica Mobile doctors decided to transfer him to Wonthaggi Hospital, not far from the track, for further tests. There he underwent a CAT scan which has ruled out any serious injury.

Marini will be back at the track tomorrow morning and, as long as he receives the doctors' OK, will be back on his bike for the third free practice session.
