SBK: LATEST: Sykes, the OK depends on Magny-Cours doctors

The long wait until Friday. At 8:30am tomorrow, Tom Sykes will visit Magny-Cours medical centre, to see whether doctors will give him the OK to ride his ZX-10RR and take part in first practice as usual.

As reported by the Kawasaki team, #66 was in Barcelona this morning for a check-up, at the same hospital where he had surgery the day after the crash at Portimao. The rehabilitation that he has carried out with the osteopath and the x-rays of his left hand show improvement, so much so that the rider will leave for France. This is only step one, as he won't have a final answer until tomorrow morning.

The hope is that Tom will be able to take part in the first session, though there is doubt as to how he will cope over race distance. Only time will tell.
