SBK: Loris Baz open to Honda: "I spoke with Ten Kate"

At the end of the season, Loris Baz will bid MotoGP farewell. For the current team Avintia rider, the doors to Superbike have opened, where his return is one of the most anxiously awaited. The Frenchman is a bit disappointed about the conclusion of this adventure: “I would have liked to have ridden a competitive bike for at least a year with the goal of battling for the top five or six positions – the rider said in a WorldSBK exclusive interview – At the end of the day, I am only 24 years old and I have three seasons under my belt in Superbike and as many in MotoGP. In any case, there is still time to come back to this category in the future.

Baz then talks about his future and he does so without beating around the bush: “Right now I am talking with a lot of teams – the Frenchman revealed – including Ten Kate. I think that it would be nice to work with a team like them and to help them win again – he continued – since it was a winning team for many years.”

Honda’s current difficulties do not worry him. To the contrary: “They are struggling a bit now, but I think that I was fast in Superbike in the past – he reminded – I know most of the tracks, the championship and the tyres. Not much has changed, so it could be a good solution.”
