Last year the Misano circuit was the setting of his only win of the season, but this year, Dani Pedrosa seems to be having a few more troubles on the Adriatic shore. He is not despairing, though since the seventh spot on the grid tomorrow leaves more than a bit of hope for him. “Evidently the bike is slightly different than last year - the Spaniard explains - I was in a bit more difficulty than yesterday when I had a better feeling. Today we tried to make some changes to the bike, especially in terms of the suspension, but I did not achieve the result I was looking for and it proved to be difficult getting where I would have wanted to be.”

So there are problems to be solved, especially in one part of the track.

“The third sector is where I struggle the most, especially on the fast part of the sector. The Ducati performs very well in that area and the fact that all the versions of the Ducati are out front or close to me is proof of that. I am not sure if it is a question of pure speed or not, but that’s the way it is.”

His thoughts are on the race tomorrow and Dani has a clear idea about it, at least concerning what the decisive part will be where the fate of his Sunday in Misano will be decided.

“Tomorrow we will need to see the weather and the tyres. The start and the first laps will be fundamental. Now the goal is to take the good that we have obtained in the various sessions and put it all together for the race, even if it rains.”
