MotoGP: Lorenzo: "It will be hard to help Dovizioso"

He claimed it was the best test of the season. Jorge Lorenzo arrives in Misano in high spirits, wanting to fight with the best at the track dedicated to Marco Simoncelli. His fifth place finish at Silverstone is definitely encouraging, especially seeing as he closed just three seconds from the front.

“One month ago I got on really well – he recalls - unfortunately the temperature has dropped now and the weather may be different too. I think we can have a good weekend  reveals the Majorcan - firstly due to the test, also because I like this track and have always been fast here”.

His team-mate finds himself fighting for the title. We wonder whether he will help him or not.

I haven't talked with anyone on the team about this and don't think I will before the triple-header – he comments - right now I'm growing with the bike, particularly in view of 2018. So it would be difficult for me to help Andrea – he underlines - but if I'm asked to do so, I will. I'm a Ducati rider, I get on well with the team and want the team to become rider's world champion”.

#99 already has his path mapped out.

At the Silverstone race, I was able to get into a good rhythm – he recalls - unfortunately I lost a second with Zarco, when Marc broke down. Without that battle I might have been able to finish even closer to Dovi”  .

Lastly, Lorenzo touches on his competitiveness.

“A lot depends on the track, maybe at Misano I'll be able to keep up with the fastest guys. At the last tracks, with all the steps we've made, I've been able to be quicker”.
