After his return to Moto2 at Silverstone, when he replaced Simeon, De Angelis will be back on track again at the San Marino GP. Alex will be wearing the colours of team Dynavolt Intact GP, standing in for Marcel Schrotter who continue to recover after having fractured the scaphoid in his left hand.

While the San Marino rider competed with a Kalex in the UK, his home round will see him riding a Suter, which he already raced with back in 2014.

I was really happy when I received the call from Intact GP to be a part of this amazing team at my Home Grand Prix and especially in my favourite class Moto2 - said De Angelis - It worked well when I already competed in England and I was able to show to everyone that I really deserve to be back in Moto2. Obviously I will do my best to give some advise to the team and to Suter for the development of the bike. Of course we don't have a special target because it is not really easy to achieve a good position without the chance to try the bike before the race weekend. But anyway this will be my second Moto2 race in a row. What I can do is to try to be better compared to the race I did in England, which was OK already for the first time. It is a very good chance to meet all my fans and my sponsors and to be back again in Misano, which is one of my favourite tracks. I also hope it will help me to find a good solution for my future. A big thank you to the Intact GP team to give me these opportunities. This weekend is a very emotional date for me. I want to remember a great rider, Shoya (Tomizawa), who was involved in the tragically accident in Misano seven years ago."
