MotoGP, Valentino operated on during the night in Ancona

Following confirmation of a fractured right tibia and fibula, Valentino Rossi was transported from the Ospedale Civile in Urbino to the Torrette hospital in Ancona. The rider has already undergone surgery to reduce the fractures.

At 11am, professor Raffaele Pascarella will hold a press conference to provide an initial update on Rossi's condition; a medical report will also be issued.
