The MotoGP adventure is over for Sam Lowes. After terminating his contract with Aprilia, the British rider will not have the chance to continue in the premier category and he is looking around for next year. The only two rides available on Team Avintia have already been reserved for Simeon and Rabat, so Sam will take a step back and race in Moto2 for 2018.
Lowes is close to making an agreement with team Interwetten, which lost Thomas Luthi who will be riding a Marc VDS Honda MotoGP bike alongside Morbidelli. In 2016, Lowes had finished the Moto2 championship in 5th place, managing to win 2 races.
