MotoGP: Iannone: Silverstone? The result from 2016 will help

The Silverstone race has a special flavour for Suzuki, because last year this is where Maverick Viñales gave the Hamamatsu-based manufacturer their first victory since their return to MotoGP. This time, repeating the Spaniard’s result will be practically impossible, but the win is certainly not the top priority for Andrea Iannone.

In fact, the Italian rider will be aiming to find that confidence that has just never quite blossomed with the GSX-RR: “This is a track that can suit our bike well – The Maniac commented – in 2016, Viñales won, so the data from last year can be helpful, despite the fact that our potential is much different.”

So, Iannone is trying to keep his morale high: “In Brno and Austria we were able to find some good solutions – he reminded – I hope we can use them effectively to improve this weekend as well.”

On the other side of the garage, Alex Rins prefers to be confident:This is the track that suits the Suzuki better than any other – the Spaniard revealed – If we struggled with the heavy braking in Austria, in this case, the track is very fast. I also have great memories of Great Britain – he added – I will everything I can to achieve the best possible result.”
