MotoGP: GP testing at Misano for Dovizioso and Lorenzo

The Misano test day for Andrea Dovizioso and Jorge Lorenzo concluded at around 6.30pm today. Like Honda and Yamaha on Sunday and Aprilia yesterday, Ducati also chose the Italian track for a day of testing, useful particularly in preparing for the San Marino GP that will take place in about three weeks.

A closed-door test for the men in red who, like their rivals, are keeping quiet about lap times. “I can say that the day has gone quite well, nothing glaring and no particular problems either” team manager Davide Tardozzi comments, remaining vague.

The two riders surely didn't hold back, with the Spaniard completing 92 laps and the Italian getting into triple figures, with 102.

We focused particularly on finding a good set-up ahead of the race, this is a track where we've suffered in the past and it was useful to work on the electronics and suspension - continues Tardozzi - We didn't have anything revolutionary to test”.

Dovizioso used the day to draw some comparisons between the standard fairing and the new one that he used in Austria. Lorenzo prefers the 'winged' solution and continued to use that.

Test rider Michele Pirro will continue the work tomorrow.
