Many teams are taking advantage of the days prior to the Silverstone GP to carry out testing at the Misano track. Yesterday it was Honda and Yamaha's turn, tomorrow will see Ducati on track with Lorenzo and Dovizioso, while today it is Aprilia that is testing on the Italian track with Aleix Espargarò and Sam Lowes.

The two factory riders will only test today, but the Noale manufacturer will remain at the Misano track on Tuesday and Wednesday. On those days the Test Team and rookie Lorenzo Savadori will take the reins.

The Italian rider, currently racing in SBK with the Milwaukee team, will climb onto a MotoGP for the first time. The Aprilia Racing manager Romano Albesiano had promised him a test on the RS-GP and the occasion has arrived.

Naturally, for Savadori this will be a first point of contact with the MotoGP, allowing him to get to grips with a brand new bike. Alongside him, Matteo Baiocco will work to carry the development forward.

Right now, this is only a test for Lorenzo, who may be involved in the development of the RS-GP in the future, but no wildcard entries are planned for him in the championship for now.
