The story of the team Pedercini - Alex De Angelis split can not yet be put to rest. In fact, today Lucio Pedercini announced, with a note on the team’s website, the resolution of the contract with De Angelis and the consequent signing of Riccardo Russo for the remaining races in the season. Expected news, but only up to a certain point, since in the last round at Laguna Seca the rider from San Marino had, for the first time, gone straight through to Q2, therefore showing signs of recovery compared with the previous races.

“It has certainly not been a season to remember up to now –commented Alex – since things were going neither the way I nor the team expected them to. The championship level is high and with the manufacturers focusing on factory teams, it is difficult to battle. Since before the Misano round, I have also felt much better physically and that is just more reason for me to be disappointed about how things went. The future? I’ll look around because I still want to race and, given the fact that I am physically well, I want to put myself back in play. That is why tomorrow I’ll go to Austria, to see my friends and to show my desire to get back on the track.”

In other words, Alex was dumped by the team. This is why he has decided to respond in an official press release that the number 15 rider will issue by the end of the day.
