SBK, Alex Lowes and Yamaha together again in 2018

The marriage is set to continue. Alex Lowes has renewed his agreement with Yamaha and will be back on the R1 again next year. Confirmation comes in the light of all the recent rumours to this end.

Having won the Suzuku 8 Hours with Nakasuga and van der Mark, the Brit is very pleased with the news: “I'm very pleased to continue my Yamaha experience - he commented – my aim will be to grow and show that I'm even more competitive”.

Lowes will again share the garage with Michael van der Mark as confirms Andrea Dosoli: “I think both riders have earned our trust –  commented the project manager –there have been some great improvements and we expect a lot from them. Alex has grown, while Michael will become a fundamental point for the team, as he has understood the secrets of our R1. I also congratulate our riders on their Suzuka success”.
