MotoGP, Petrucci: The new fairing will help me

Danilo Petrucci began the second part of the season on the right foot: 7th in FP1 in the wet and 3rd in the afternoon, when the sun came out over the Brno track.

Who are you thinking of in particular?
“All the Hondas are very fast and I think that Viñales was also holding back a bit today.”

This is not a track where you usually do your best…
“The grip is not the best and every year it gets worse. There are a lot of bumps and they cause chattering. It is true that this is a difficult track for me since there are a lot of flat turns. You also always have to find a compromise with the setup between a stable bike in braking and fast on the flowing parts and that puts me in a rough spot.”

Today we saw Lorenzo use the new fairing. Will you have it too?
“Yes, I’ll use it tomorrow and I think that it will be able to help me. This is a track where it works because it is important to have downforce on the front.”

And if it rains?
“I am not worried even in that case, I am not afraid of any conditions.”
