After 27 years, Finland will once again have a Grand Prix of its own. The confirmation came during a press conference in Helsinki, attended by Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta and various government representatives.
The agreement involves a 5-year contract and the Finnish GP will be included on the calendar as of 2019. The race will take place at the KymiRing, a facility that is still being completed, located in the south of the country. 100,000 spectators are expected to attend come race day.
