It's now official: Romano Fenati and the Snipers team have come to an agreement to continue together again in 2018, in the Moto2 class. Supporting activities is Marinelli Cucine, already the title sponsor of the Moto3 team this year. The team's colours will be based on blue, white and red colour. The choice of frame is still to be decided, but will probably be Kalex.

“We really wanted Romano and were right to want him. Beyond the results, we have an excellent relationship with him that was bound to give rise to common growth - stated team manager Stefano Bedon - We are already working so that we can be immediately competitive in the intermediate class, without taking away from this year's championship, as we're only halfway and there's still everything to play for”.

“It all started as a bit of a laugh - added Romano Fenati - but then we became convinced and thanks to Mr. Marinelli  we've been able to put this fantastic idea into being. We're all very sure because we're a big family and I'm very pleased and excited about it all, I can't wait to start on this new adventure. Of course, in order to make the best possible start, we need to finish this year on a high... so we're focusing on Brno, a very tough track...".

“We're of course honoured to have the chance to work with Romano again - underlined technical director Mirko Cecchini - To move to Moto2 is a big step for both our team and for Romano and to be able to do it together fills me with pride. We've always thought that we should only make the move when we know we can be competitive, and with Romano we know we can be”.

Sponsor Andrea Marinelli rounds things off.

“There's a strong synergy between us all. When you feel this kind of thing it shouldn't be ignored and you should seize those moments as they will become unforgettable memories. Our task, as a company, is to ensure the team has what it needs, but also to inject enthusiasm and give advice, according to business logic. In particular, with Romano, we have a friendly relationship that allows us to offer him important support as his career develops”.
