SBK: Baldolini and Sanchioni in hospital after crashing

Alex Baldolini was the victim of a serious crash on exiting the Quercia, thrown to the ground after a violent highside when he lost the rear of his MV Agusta F3.

The ATK#25 rider tried everything to stay upright but in vain: after the crash, Alex was suffering with a very painful left hand, which was accidentally trapped between the bike and the asphalt, causing a serious injury to his hand.

Alex is therefore forced to sit out the rest of the weekend's action, having been declared unfit by race direction and transported to Rimini hospital for further tests.

Another bad crash involved the unlucky Federico Sanchioni, who hit the ground along with Stefan Hill during the Superstock1000 practice. The BMW rider fell hard on the Misano asphalt, at turn 10, and was immediately declared unfit by race direction. He was also transported to Rimini hospital for further analysis.
