PHOTOGALLERY Petrucci, Lowes, Migno and Bagnaia discover the Tuscan city by bike

MotoGP: Steel knights in renaissance Florence

The engines have already been started. The rumble of the world championship awoke the inhabitants of Florence this morning. Taking to the city streets were Danilo Petrucci, on his Ducati Pramac, and Sam Lowes with the Aprilia. They were joined by the Sky Racing Team VR46, with riders Pecco Bagnaia and Andrea Migno.

A different kind of morning for the four riders, who took time out to explore some of the historic monuments in the Tuscan city. A trip across the Ponte Vecchio, before passing the Piazza della Signoria and reaching the Piazza del Duomo. There was great deal of interest from the locals as they look forward to one of the most highly anticipated events of the season, or rather Mugello. Tomorrow sees the traditional press conference, before the action gets underway on track on Friday.
