SBK, The final farewell to Hayden at Donington

For one minute, the entire paddock came to a stop and was silent in honour of Kentucky Kid, loved by one and all

SBK: The final farewell to Hayden at Donington

The British public invaded the start/finish line at the Donington track to salute a friend who is with us no more. A giant image of Nicky Hayden greeted the Ten Kate team and the entire SBK workforce, among those who participated in a minute's silence for the American, former MotoGP world champion.

Clouds started to form during this final farewell to one of the best loved riders of all time, one who we will never forget. His race number, 69, can be seen on the bikes across every category this weekend, with Nicky's Honda CBR 1000 Fireblade complete with the last helmet the Kentucky Kid wore in a race.
