A promise is a promise, and should always be kept. The day after the fantastic double win at Imola, Ducati granted Chaz Davies' wish to ride the GP17, during a Mugello test.

The team has not released any details about the British rider's performance. Chaz, as we know, hasn't hidden his desire to compete in MotoGP. Given the contractual situation in the factory team, one possible approach might be the Pramac team, though Davies has always said he wants to first win the Superbike title.

At the end of the day, the team, without issuing an official press release, published some images on its Facebook page.

The Aruba.it Racing - Ducati team also took the opportunity to spend a day testing with Marco Melandri. The Italian worked tirelessly, completing 105 laps and carry out numerous comparative tests to evaluation various electronic and chassis solutions and tackle the problems that arose during the latest round, with positive feedback.

It was an intense and productive day - said Marco -We worked a lot on geometry. We focused particularly on two areas - stability in acceleration when shifting and front feedback on corner entry. Up until about one hour fomr the end I wasn't particularly happy but then in the final exits I had positive sensations. I would have liked to test some of the electronics solutions further, but that's OK anyway. we've collected important data in order to improve our performance in the next races”.

The Aruba.it Racing - Ducati team will be back on track at Donington Park (UK) for round 6 of the 2017 Superbike World Championship, taking place from 26-28 May.
