"I don't like the 2016 tyre. If the majority chooses it, then OK, but not if it's changed for just one or two riders"

MotoGP: Lorenzo: this test makes me more optimistic

Lorenzo's positive streak on the Ducati continued during Monday's test, not so much for the 6th place finish but rather for the sensations he had on the bike. With each day that passes, Jorge understands more about what the GP17 needs and the results demonstrate this.

We didn't have any new material, but I've tested 3 or 3 different set-ups and some were better than those I used in the race. The more miles I cover, the better I feel, this test has left me feeling more optimistic” he says.

Where are you improving?
I feel really good in braking, I can say that with the Ducati it's easier to brake hard than it was with the Yamaha, it's very stable. I'm really pleased, I've having more and more fun".

You're taking giant steps forward…
I'm optimistic, we already saw improvement in Argentina and even more in Austin. Compared to Qatar, it's another a world, the bike feels more like mine”.

What do you think about the 2016 front tyre?
There's not a great difference, but it's worse than the current one, it offers less grip when turning. in the end, I was slower when I used it”.

Would it be a problem if they decide to use it?
Itf the majority chooses it then OK but not if it's changed just because one or two riders request it. If that's the case, it would be better to continue with the current one and work on a new tyre that everyone likes”.

Your work prior to Le Mans is not yet finished...
“We'll be at Mugello on Monday, an important track for us to be able to have confirmation”.
