MotoGP, Dovizioso: I'm mad about Friday, not Saturday

Dovizioso's face in the final seconds of Q1 was worth a thousand words. Even a little while later his anger hadn't subsided. He was far from happy to find himself left out of the decisive qualifying phase, especially considering he's always been strong in the wet.

“We did what we should have done, we were just unlucky to miss out by 0.067 of a second, I could have qualified well, I felt good in the wet” he commented.

But Dovi isn't looking for excuses.

“I'm sorry because we can't afford to start further back here if we want to run a good race - he confirms - it has complicated things and I'm disappointed about yesterday because we shouldn't be outside the top ten. What happened isn't good, there were many small problems that didn't allow me to be fast. It makes me angry because it shouldn't happen”.

He cannot change the past though and the Italian has to look to the future. Which is not without its worries..

“We're not very fast in the dry, so I'm not feeling relaxed- he admits - We're a little on the limit, I don't have the pace to fight for the win right now, and it would have been useful to start up front for this reason. I'll try to make the most of warm up”.

As if it weren't enough, there are many satellite Ducatis further up the field.
