SBK, Sofuoglu to return at Aragon

The Supersport champion will return in Spain after recovering from his injury. Puccetti: "his wrist is 80%, but Kenan is motivated"

SBK: Sofuoglu to return at Aragon

After months of absence and being forced to watch two races on the TV, Kenan Sofuoglu is ready to get back on his bike. The Supersport champion will return to the track at Aragon, riding his Kawasaki ZX6-R with team Puccetti, the team with which the Turk has won two consecutive titles.

The wrist injury sustained during training and the surgical procedures needed to fix it have not deterred the tenacious Turk, news of his return had been circulating for a while, and is now official.

The first two rounds, in Australia and Thailand, saw Italians Roberto Rolfo and Federico Caricasulo triumphs, with Cluzel and Jacobsen left dealing with injuries and crashes. In Spain we'll really see what's what:Kenan's wrist is about 80% with respect to his usual shape - states manager Manuel Puccetti- nevertheless, Sofuoglu will be there, because he's motivated. We knew what he's capable of doing and I'll add that he won the Aragon races in 2015 and 2016: the track in the Spanish desert is one of his favourites”.

With a Supersport series packed with fast riders and exciting scenes during every race, the Superbike championship is a big commitment for the Italian team: Randy Krummenacher is an SBK rookie and, looking at his results in the first two rounds, a top ten at Phillip Island and 12th in the two Buriram races, we can be satisfied. With 13 factory bikes on track, these are excellent results, not easily achieved”.
