“Let’s just say that I am happy from that point of view (he laughs). Starting so far behind, it will not be easy to aim for the podium. A realistic result would be a position from 4th on. But in the race anything is always possible, there can be surprises, both positive and negative.”
You will start from the same row as Valentino. Are you surprised?
“We are both struggling. He doesn’t have the best bike and I need to adapt to a bike that is very different from the one I was used to. We still have not competed in a race, but for now our results have been rather similar. Today we found a strange situation and it certainly was not the best for either one of us.”
DOVIZIOSO: VERY CLOSE TO BEING A CONTENDER FOR THE WIN - If Jorge is trying to unravel his doubts, Dovizioso is in a very different position. “I feel very much at ease right now” he said. “Right now it is impossible to make predictions. Viñales and Marquez have the pace to make a play for the race, but as I said, I feel relaxed.”

“The conditions were not there and the right decision was made. We lost a day, but it was the same for everyone. This track was not designed for riding in the wet.”

“You are always optimistic until you come face to face with reality. The track was in worse condition than expected. I’m sure it can be improved for the future.”
