Moto2, Lecuona undergoes surgery: out for 4 to 6 weeks

Reduction of the fracture to his arm and immobilised for his injured collarbone and spinous apophysis of the C7 vertebra

Iker Lecuona underwent surgery in Barcelona performed by Dr. Xavier Mir's staff following the injury he suffered in the Jerez tests.

Doctors operated on the split fracture to his left arm, reducing it and installing two plates. As for his fractured right collarbone and the spinous apophysis of the C7 vertebra, treatment requires immobilisation for a period from 4 to 6 weeks.

The Spanish rider wishes to thank the doctors. Logically, Iker will not be in the saddle for the first race of the season and that will probably not be the only round he will be forced to miss. In Qatar, Julian Simon will be subbing for him.
