MotoGP, Pernat: "I've seen a two-sided Yamaha"

AUDIO "Vinales is fast, Rossi worried. Too many crashes: the Grand Prix will be a puzzle"

MotoGP: Pernat: "I've seen a two-sided Yamaha"

As he does every year, Carlo Pernat has followed winter testing from a privileged position, inside the garage.

His position in the paddock allows him direct access to information, both with the riders and the managers and mechanics. For this reason, his opinions are important. Even if they should often be read 'within' the lines.

"These days are important in order to sort the bike for the Grand Prix, the main aim for every team.
I've seen a two-sided Yamaha: that of Vinales fresh, fast and that of Vale, who has big problems. He hasn't found the solution he wanted. In the race simulation, Dovi and Maverick are the best prepared. Bautista's simulation was a surprise, few expected that.

The Honda is better than last year, you'll recall how in the first half of the championship they had big problems last year. Now it's going better, but there's still work to do. Marc crashed a lot, he's not confident with the front.

For Ducati and for Dovi it's a very important year, Andrea is going well, he's determined, while Lorenzo is struggling but that's logical, moving from Yamaha to Ducati is not easy. Jorge didn't carry out a race simulation, perhaps because he didn't have time.

Suzuki also had some issues with the front, but in the end they found a solution in the final laps. A final quarter of an hour which as worth three days of testing.

The outsiders made their presence felt,  particularly Folger and Zarco, but I think they'll disappear in the race.

Be careful of the crashes for the big names, there were many of them. Marquez, Iannone, Rossi himself. They need to be careful. We'll see what happens in Qatar".
