Kyle Ryde is Jonathan Rea’s pupil and next year he will be wearing the same colour, Kawasaki green. In fact, the British rider reached an agreement with team Puccetti, where he will race in 2017 in Supersport, alongside champion, Kenan Sofuoglu.

The 19-year-old astonished in 2015 when he finished on the podium at Donington as a wild card. Last year he raced in Supersport throughout the season, although it was a rather topsy turvy one where he found himself riding a Yamaha an MV and a Kawasaki.

The experience astrided the ZX-6R will come in handy and on 24 and 25 January he will have his first test on the new bike.

I am delighted to have this ride in 2017 and grateful to the many people who have bent over backwards to help me to have this opportunity – Kyle commented – To see where I was a week ago - not riding in WorldSSP and looking for rides again in the UK - it was hard for me. When I was told about this chance it was an awesome feeling. It was all sorted a couple of days after I spoke to my team manager, Manuel. My new teammate Kenan likes me and messages me all the time to see how I am doing. He had helped me enough already, even when he wasn’t even my teammate. He will be happy for me to be where I am now. Jonathan Rea has also been a big part of it and it is good to have a racer like him helping me.
