After his first contact with the GP16 last week, Scott Redding was back astride his Ducati in Valencia. It was a useful experience in order to confirm his sensations on a different circuit.

In Valencia I hopped on the new bike right after the race weekend. Having a couple of days off before coming to these tests at Jerez was nice, because I have a fresh mindset and I can ride a bit differently", he explains in the video interview above.

However, not everything went according to plans and the Brit had a crash.

Overall I’m quite happy with the first day, although the track conditions this morning were a bit bad. I was 4th despite a crash, but I’m okay”, he reassures.

Tomorrow he will be back in the saddle and he will try to overcome a defect that is probably cause by the fact that the winglets are no longer used, in accordance with the new regulations.

The biggest problem is wheelie at the moment - he explains - so I think we need to play a little bit with the bike’s setup to help me keep the front wheel down.
