There will be 25 riders on track for the first day of testing at Valencia. The 2017 'regulars' will be joined by test riders Michele Pirro (in place of Petrucci), Takuya Tsuda, on the Suzuki GSX-RR and Eugene Laverty (in Superbikenext year) on the Aprilia RS-GP.

The eyes of the fans will be fixed on the three most important 'swaps' of the season: Jorge Lorenzo to Ducati, Andrea Iannone to Suzuki and Maverick Vinales to Yamaha.

There are twelve definitive rider changes. Don't expect them to make any particular comments though as many are still under contract, but the stopwatch will speak for them.

Today was spent working on the details: modifying riding position, handlebars, footpegs and seats. Some of them, like Lorenzo, will ride in total black, while others, released from 2016 contracts, such as double Moto2 champion Johann Zarco (pictured) can already wear their new team colours.
